A bright sunny Sunday morning saw Town "B" at home for the first time after a long period of rain forced the postponement of previous games.The team welcomed back their manager after a short break.
The game kicked off with Town looking lively and eager for a result.The mid-field looked strong with Lewis Wood and Liam linking up well with some good passing moves.
Istead were not ready to give up just yet and Town were forced to be strong in defence with Rhys and Nathen working well and Sean in goal solid.Sean launched a good goal kick up field but no-one was able to get on the end of it.Liam and Rhys made a good passing move but the Istead defence were thwarting the Town attacks.
After 10 mins of play both teams had battled hard but the score remained at 0-0
12 mins in and the Istead striker broke the dead lock with a well taken goal to make it 1-0
Town responded well from the re-start but were unable to make their chances count with Liam going close.
On the stroke of half time Istead stuck another blow for Town with a scrambled goal to make it 2-0 at the break.
Half time 2-0
The second half saw Town attack from the off and 20 secs in Lewis Wood went close but couldn't make it count.
Both teams worked hard ,with both the mid-fields strong and looking for the break.
7 mins Town went close again with another near miss from Lewis Woods.
The remainder of the half was played out with both teams having misses , but Town now knew it just wasn't going to be their day.

A Blow for Town who must have felt they could have won this game but luck wasn't on their side. Well done to Istead Rise.
